Title: Trigger by application
Post by: eric on September 22, 2017, 03:24:28 AM
Hi,
We would like to setup a self-service shooting room and here is what we like to do with Chronos:
1) Trigger the video shooting and stop the recording in our application on touch screen device like iPad or Microsoft Surface.
2) Get the video file from Chronos and show it to user in our application right after that.

Is is doable with Chronos? Is there some SDK document?

Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric,

The API required to do that is still being developed. Right now you need to control the camera using the onboard touchscreen.

It's probably about 2 months out till we have the API ready, but you'll be able to either save compressed files to some device such as a network share and then play them, or you can stream live video or playback video off the camera via RTSP to a video player.

Is there some preferred method you have for doing this? It would be good to have input on what people want to do and how they want to do it.

Regards,
David

I (and possibly Tretee, another owner who's using the camera for a similar purpose) would like to be to able to save raw frames out to a network share for PC processing.
