Chronos User Discussion / Re: Got my tracking number
« on: September 15, 2017, 11:17:10 AM »
Almost thought that the camera doesn't make it before the weekend but the delivery guy arrived late in the evening with the package.
Had to take a photo with all of the C-mount lenses (+two extras) I've managed to find and collect over the years for ~free, now they finally have a decent camera to attach to :)

C-mount: 12.5mm/1.3, 25mm/1.4, 35mm/1.2, 50mm/1.3, 50mm/1.8, 75mm/1.3, 12-72mm/1.4
F-mount with F->C-adapter, maybe for long range use: Samyang 85mm/1.4, Nikon 180mm/2.8

I bit the bullet with my pledge quite late in the game and just got my tracking number (backer number in the 230's), so I guess the Kickstarter part of the project is in the finish lines. Congratulations to David (and rest of the supporting team), in the end I personally think three months of delay in a project of this caliper is not bad at all. Shame that summer weather starts to be over here and dimmer days are ahead so a lot of stuff is left for next summer and it is time to finally start building some serious LED lights ;)

Chronos User Discussion / Re: Let's talk LENSES!
« on: July 17, 2017, 03:23:14 AM »
My collection of C-mount lenses is as follows, I will post some test results with these (normal use and macro use with extension tubes) after I finally receive my camera, hopefully in the next coming weeks:
- VT Lens 12.5mm f/1.3
- Canon TV Lens VF 25mm f/1.4
- Tamron 25mm f/1.6
- Canon TV Lens PHF 35mm f/1.2
- VT TV Lens 50mm f/1.3
- Canon TV Lens VF 50mm f/1.8
- Two somewhat identical lenses with different manufacturer engraving: VT TV Lens 75mm f/1.3 and eneo TV Lens 75mm f/1.3
- Collection of extensions tubes and a 2x extender for C-mount
- Different microscope lenses and a C-mount adapter for them

I also have a Nikon F to C-mount adapter and I'll do more tests at least with these Nikon lenses: 35mm f/2.0D, 50mm f/1.4D, 55mm f/2.8 macro and a 180mm f/2.8

Chronos User Discussion / Re: Macro lens suggestions

During the years of doing all kinds of experimental and normal photography, I've acquired a good collection of different lenses (for Nikon, Pentax and C-mount) and I'm going to post my testing results with them when I get my Chronos from the non-earlybird Kickstarter batch.

And this is just a heads up for HPC if you happen to read this, as I guess you might be getting a lot of emails: I sent you an email regarding this topic, look for a subject with "Chronos ja objektiivit" from Aki
