Everybody needs to have just a little fun in their life every once in a while.  We did!

Video Link: (30 seconds)

If you do not want to do post processing (merging frames into a video file, etc) save your video as H.264. The camera will automatically merge frames into a .mp4 video file that you can play with any video player VLC included.

IMHO, the camera sucks the life out of the batteries way too fast. You will soon be looking for an external battery with a 20v plug. Most laptop compatible external batteries have 20v plugs. During filming I cant take the chance that I lost the shot because the battery died while I wasnt looking.

Hi Nik. My current setup is a 8 ft vacuum with a pvc piston pressure chamber (2" about 3 ft long). My main problem is when I fire the pressure chamber, the pvc piston is moving pretty fast, but not fast enough to let out all of the pressure at once, so there is a build up in pressure at the mylar film that breaks it just a few microseconds too soon so that the actual pressure going into the vacuum is not at full strength. My idea to fix this is to double up the mylar or add an additional layer or something... so that it takes a much bigger force to break the barrier before it lets loose. I have only run 1 test so far, and got 911 mph (1466.11km/h). It got cut off from the video, but the bulk of the air was released wwaayyyy after the ball was shot out.

In any case, going to have some fun this week shooting things supersonic :)

That moment when you realize that you might need a bigger camera! LOL.

Finally got it supersonic! 900mph..

One frame lit up like mini explosion. Just one single frame.

Bad lights, sorry. Need to film this in the sun. @17000 fps, this camera starves for light.

Since we are now on a debian os.. will a usb wifi stick work in the usb slot of the camera?

Or down the road will can that be a option?

That might explain it, as I usually hold the power button down until I see some signs of life.

Expanding on the vacuum cannon, slowly getting it super sonic. In this next step building the pressure chamber to help those little ping pong balls go right on their merry way.

@PointyHairedBoss... Here is how I am doing it:

first, head to:
http://www.get-youtube-thumbnail.com/

and put in your youtube link, it will extract a HQ version of your thumbnail (the smaller image).. or you can upload your own somewhere...

Second, this is the full image and youtube link from my last video:

I hope that helps.

My 1.4 does the same thing. I have to boot it 2-3 times before it will bring up the on screen menu. I have not upgraded to the new OS yet.

Chronos User Discussion / Re: Found lens spacer rings for cheap.

Wow, I'm glad i'm not the only one that has to unscrew the lens just a little to get the focus. I like the idea of spacers... always afraid I will unscrew the lens too much and forget about it and one of these days watch it fall to the ground :(
