Can you save video successfully to the storage device that has the update on it? Does the drive show up in the drive selection box in the save settings window?

Oh, man.  Turns out USB drive #4 was the charm.  Calibration data saved, update applied.  Is the Chronos picky about which USB drives it likes or do I just have a lot of crappy USB drives lying around?  Thanks!

I've got all the proper files (V0.3.1.9 beta) unzipped into the root directory of a USB memory stick.  Actually tried it on 3 different ones.  When I try to backup the calibration data I get a "stat() failed" error.  When I try to apply the update I get "No software update found".  What am I doing wrong this time? :-)

Check that the device is formatted FAT32. Many SD cards come formatted exFAT, and this isn't yet supported. If it's already FAT32, try reformatting it.

Wouldn't you know it...of the dozen SD cards strewn about my desk, I had to grab an NTFS one and a FAT32 that the camera just doesn't like.  Similar situation with the two thumb drives I stuck in the USB port.  Comedy of errors!  Sorry for wasting your time!  But as long as I'm wasting it, could you tell me what I did to be a "Super Supporter!" as listed under "Kickstarter Backers" in the camera?  I'm honored, of course; I just don't remember what I did (other than making giant guns).   ;D

Went to do some high-speed video the other day only to find that I couldn't save to the SD card!  I got the "No save location set" message and when I went to try to correct that, I get a "No storage devices detected" message.  Tried plugging a thumb drive into the side as well, but no joy.  Running 2.5 beta firmware.  Am I missing something simple or is there a problem?

Diagnosed a mechanical problem with a typewriter using Chronos, decided to turn it into a video. Loving this camera!

=)

Very cool vid!  I wonder how much longer it'll be before the general public doesn't even know what a typewriter is...or are we already there?  :D

Hi Mark,

nice to see you here. Did you hear anything from Royal Nonesuch lately? He is quite inactive on youtube :(

Howdy, thanks!  Yeah, I communicate with him all the time.  He'll be at our booth at the SHOT show, 20645 in the Law Enforcement section.  He got screwed the way a lot of us with gun channels did, with most of our videos that have been up and monetized for years all of a sudden not being "appropriate for all advertisers".  Fortunately I have a good day job; he didn't.

Need better lighting for sure!  Sorry I didn't include all the frame rate specs...was more interested in the phenomena but will strive to include "stats" in the future.

Thanks,
Mark Serbu
