I agree with CS223. Keep it in, just add a screen you need to press OK at to accept that it's beta and artifacts may appear.

I'm so looking forward to try this new software. The UI looks great! Unfortunately I ran out of micro SD cards, and need to wait until tomorrow to get one.

Thanks for that pdate!

a 1kw tungsten spotlight that may help for the next video.

I have two of those. If you are really close, it's OK. But not nearly sufficient for real stuff.

Regarding gestures:

They can be very handy. But often aren't intuitive, and nobody reads the manual.

Would it be possible to add a "hint wheel" (no idea how you would call it...)? What I mean is, if you touch the screen and move the touch point a few pixels, so it is recignised as a movement, you could show a wheel with 4 or 8 sections. Each section would show an icon representing what happens when you swipe in that direction. I use SolidWorks in my profession, they use that technique with the mouse. Hold the right mouse button and move the mouse, and it will appear. These sections also can be custom programmed. Sample picture attached.

Chronos User Discussion / Re: Corrupted SD card

My experience is, that this problem keeps coming back, sometimes several uses later, when you started feeling confident in that card again.

I would toss that card, or only use it when doing tests with the camera, where the actual footage is not needed.

Impressive!

How close did you place these cameras?

I had something similar with an SD card in my DSLR. These are not corrupted files, the flash is defective. It might disappear when formatting, but will come back. Replace the card.

Aha!!
I hadn't thought of that.  Thanks - very good explanation.
That explains why one segment is lost.

It doesn't explain, why the last segment is double the frames.

That way the anticipation (German "Vorfreude" - literally pro-joy) lasts longer.

Maybe you can still change your order, if it isn't shipped already.

Depending on the costs, this would still be a great upgrade instead of an external screen with its own battery.

Wow, VERY nice!

Unfortunately  ;) I already have a 1.4, and no play money left.

Maybe I'll save a bit towards the 4.8 coming in 2024 :p

You mentioned, the 2.1 will be able to accept Nikon lenses? But on the video the camera body looks like it also had the CS mount. Will an adapter work on the 1.4, to accept Nikon lenses? I have a Nikon DSLR, and buying dual use lenses would relax my ministry of finance quite a bit.

He only plans to buy one, so it should already come with the latest software. 0.3 just left RC status.
