Testing the SmokeGENIE and seeing the almost liquid nature of this smoke at 1500fps is magical to me.

Gain test, just increased the gain as the sun was getting lower, leaving FPS, shutter angle and lens aperture on the same(ish) settings.

I did a recovery on this, and I think it looks quite good! https://vimeo.com/600548859

@PaulBryanTV

I'm planning to buy a Chronos 1.4 black and white to video water sprays and similar.  I really enjoyed watching the video you posed at the beginning of this thread of water hitting a spoon and then spreading out.  What frame rate did you  use?

Thanks!
I believe it was at 1000fps.

Also had this freezing / lag issue.
Essentially slows the display to a crawl and makes it near unresponsive. No set pattern but focus peaking don't help!
No monitor involved either.

Slicing and smashing fruit, as well as 3D printed objects!
Between 1500 and 5000fps.

This looks quite amazing!   I have been doing some non-production testing with my 1.4 at 5,900 fps and getting some fantastic results that are actually passable when the 640x360 frame is algorithmically upscaled to 1080p.  5,900fps is a world above 1,500fps in the type of detail that can be captured.   My question would be what type of increase in frame size would the 2.1 be able to manage at ~6k fps?  This wasn't clear to me since the 720p max is still 1,500fps on the 2.1.  Are we looking at a similar throughput for resolutions below 720p with the 2.1 version?

If the throughput is a 1.5x as suggested then you could do 720x480 of any equivalent ratio.

Pretty sure all of that would be EXTREMELY easy to get around with Open Sourcing stuff with easy implementation methods / software?

Does it support width of less than 96px? As a vertical pixel strip of maximum resolution height with a 1px width is what most would use.
For example a side profile shot of a bullet in mid air from left to right.

If you can incorporate this in some manner I think it would be awesome. Especially for content creators and photographers in the high speed niche.
Theoretically whats the maximum fps the sensor could handle? I think if you can put even a basic test feature of this in, you'd REALLY turn some heads in the industry.
Something like a 500K fps slitscan would lead to some INCREDIBLE images being made, particularly for ballistics / explosives.
