Lots of hummingbird action at our place this year. This is a short clip of a hummingbird attack:

... highlight reel from two years of slow motion lightning ...

Beautiful. I've tried the same but where I live we rarely have clear skies with lightening - almost always socked in.

What lens did you use?

I would love to take a look at the videos you created...

Thanks for your interest.  This is my most recent slomo video:

There are a few more mixed in with my other videos here:

I guess you found already what you were looking for. There are a lot of video editing software options out there.

Yes, being a PC guy I've been using PowerDirector for all my video editing. It does everything I want & is reasonably priced. If I had a MAC I'd probably be using Apple software.  However be prepared to spend some time playing with any video editing software you get, they all have a learning curve.
In my limited experience making videos, my biggest challenge is finding suitable uncopywrited music.

I use a car booster with USB charging ports. You can plug in the Kronos & operate for days between charges.

Yeah, I try to stop down the lens but only problem is sometimes the light is enough to compensate for that so I end up getting underexposed shots for some.

I was looking on my phone screen and I thought the shot at 44 seconds was in focus. But yeah I can see why you said that after looking on my computer screen. But it was cool to see how some of those dragon flies move.

At least with super slomo you only need a half second in focus to get enough video.

Nice job getting the dragon fly in focus. 👍 Do you remember what your aperture was?

For the dragonflies, I used the Computar zoom lens I got from Chronos set to almost maximum zoom. I can't remember the aperture setting but it was almost full open for most shots & I set the focus to about 4 ft.  Some of the shots I did just standing still with the camera recording as they were buzzing around waiting for one to fly through the field of view at the right distance to be in focus. It's hard to pan on a dragonfly because they zig zag so quickly but I was successful a few times using the laser gun sight attachment to follow the motion.  All that said, 99% of the video footage is unusable.

Nice capture. Do you see that type of bird often?

First time I've seen one here. My wife heard that hanging half an orange on a tree will attract them. Seems to have worked.
