I need some help posting.  I'm sure I am missing something obvious but I'm a Boomer so that's my excuse.
1)  How do I embed an image in my post? I can add the Insert Image tags but how do I add the actual image between the tags?
2) When adding a youtube link all I get is the URL text.  How do I get an image instead?

It’s amazing to see the detail in wing movement at this frame rate that isn’t seen with the naked eye. This was shot at 5,903 FPS on the Chronos 1.4.
Nice job. It's challenging to keep things in focus & in frame when recording animals & bugs.

Chronos User Discussion / SD card vs SSD
« on: May 03, 2020, 07:54:42 PM »
Will an SSD save faster than an SD card? That's the impression I got reading through this forum.
I've been using an SD card until I recently tried an SSD & was surprised to see the save rate about the same for both. My test was not very scientific, I just observed the fps display during a save to both types of media.  This was my test:
Chronos 1.4 - 1280x720, 1502 fps.
Video 1: save to SanDisk Ultra 64GB micro SD
Video 2: save to Kingston 120GB SSD

In both cases the fps I observed during the save bounced around between 90-110 fps.  Neither had a clear speed advantage.
Maybe I don't have a very fast SSD or maybe I'm under the wrong impression.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

My previous attempt at a pistol grip accessory was OK but I improved things by making a 2 handed model.  Much easier hold & track quickly moving critters.

... picatinny rail...

Since my metal working tools consist of a hacksaw & a few files & I don't (yet) have a 3D printer I made mine out of hard maple finished with tung oil to match the pistol grip.

Nice accessories Sael.
I'm interested in your attachment for tracking fast moving objects.  I don't have a 3D printer (yet) but I'm sure I can figure out another way to attach some kind of sighting device to the camera. What is the thing that's labelled RioRand?

NEVER MIND
Found it on Amazon

I'm sure you've heard about the Hydraulic Press channel. I'm thinking of starting the Redneck Hydraulic Press channel:

The wiring is easy using these

You don't need a signal - the trigger will work with a simple open/close switch.  And you don't need BNC cable, any 2 conductor wire will work.  The BNC to 2-wire connectors I found on Amazon makes things easy.

You can see my home made trigger switches here:

Question: is the blue Danube recording public domain? My biggest problem with posting my YouTube videos is selecting music that's not copyrighted with the associated problems if it is
