Hey guys! Look at my new slow-mo chemical reactions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2dECQAYXwE
(See video description for slow-mo timing)  :)

I love these so much!

TBH I did vote (for MFT), but I've got a decent enough collection of Nikon-fit lenses for the Chronos now (and an adaptor that lets me use THOSE on my GH5S) that I'm not that worried about it any more. If an MFT mount was cheap I would probably get one to allow me a couple of extra lenses (probably the macro and maybe one other).

I used the Chronos 2.1 to figure out the 0-60 time of a water rocket!  Spoiler, it's VERY fast :)

Lots of 1920x570, 1884 fps, 162 deg shutter, Cinema DNG

Fun and interesting, thanks!

We have recently discovered this software bug with (Where the footage is stuck in an endless saving loop) the video encoder when saving video as H.264 at high framerates. Our team is currently working on resolving this issue in the new software updates. In the meantime, I would suggest saving your footage with CinemaDNG, TIFF, or other raw formats as a workaround.

Thanks!

Chronos User Discussion / Never-ending save
« on: May 28, 2021, 07:15:24 AM »
I filmed something at approx 10486(640x240)fps today, but when I went to save it to the SD card (mp4 format) it never finished. it just went round and round the buffer never finishing. (see attached screenshot) I powered off the camera to see if anything useful had been written to the SDcard but but although there was an MP4 file with the right date on it, it's not readable. Oddly, it might be about the right size but I can't get anything to open it annoyingly.

It wasn't anything critical (nothing I do is critical :), but it was worrying.

Hey guys!

Look at the slow-mo chemical reactions on my youtube channel :D

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuRl8Yq6SxY - Chronos 2.1, 1920x1080 1000FPS & 800x600 4352FPS, Samyang 24mm & 100mm macro.

Fantastic!

I have a Fotodiox adaptor for Nikon and some quite big lenses (thank you eBay) and never had the adaptor go wobbly on me, so it might just be that you have a faulty one?

I have an Atomos Shinobi screen and haven't noticed any freezes when it's been connected. I've had it quite a while but don't use it all the time and usually connect it after booting.

I'm using an Apurture LS-C300d/II, It's an LED so I have no idea how that compares to halogen lights, but it's very bright! I hear that the new Amaran 200D is even brighter and quite a lot cheaper, if not as solidly built.
