Inexpensive neck strap mounting on the Chronos camera

I tried to find hardware to attatch a neck strap for a while until I came across these d-ring picture hangers in a hardware store today. They work like a charm and couldn't be more perfect!

$5 plus the strap itself. I lied in the video, it wasn't $10.

Nice work & Video,  Here is another option that is cheap but uses the 1/4" holes!

I just saw your post on hispeedcams, I tried one of those on the top mount but the strap kept getting in the way of the screen. It didn't occur to me to try mounting a second one on the side. Do you find the left strap still gets in the way?
The obvious advantage is the 1/4" mounts are going to be stronger than the M4 screws.

I find it works well and it is very sturdy.  Only thing as you say is sometimes it can get in the way but it is not a big deal. if you want to use it to go shooting as in point and shoot you can always attach it on the bottom screw.    For my style of shooting I much rather use a tripod to aim and record, easier on the back too since the camera is very heavy!

Actually, we did build a neck strap for Maker Faire here in Vancouver so we did not get tired carrying the cameras.
We utilized the mounting holes on the sides of the camera and mounted two small steel cable loops, then strung an eBay neck strap through the holes.
