I think you need Way more Light there, because those two Videos are super dark. Maybe also some Backlight would help to see the Edges of things better and makes the individual things in your frame Stand out better.
Or try to get longer exposure-times per frame, if possible also try to open up your apperture on your lens. But more Light is always good for highspeed.

Yep you need way more light! However much light you think is enough, you still need more. I also had to learn this the hard way. Moreover you appear to be using an AC source for your light, hence the "flickering". The Naked eye usually won't notice 50/60 or 100/120 Hz if the brightness does not vary too much, but for a highspeed cam it's quite noticeable.

I've had good results with sunlight, battery-powered leds and special "high-speed" circuits.

I highly doubt that sunlight would be an serious option in a machining Shop like this... :)
But yes, Flickering of Lamps on AC is a thing. Sometimes even Tungsten Lamps Flicker a lot. Havent yet seen it on High-Power Tungsten Lamps over like 100 to 500W or more but below around 20 to 40W you will finde quite some of them Flickering noticeable or even realy badly from what i have seen.

I know I need more light, I know I will never have enough. Any suggestions for cheap ways to make DC powered LED lights would be appreciated, I'm a competent machinist/engineer and I know how to solder and wire things as long as someone else tells me how do layout a circuit. I've been thinking about making a couple 300-500 watt portable DC lights(I have LOTS of 24V Greenworks batteries, dozens of em) out of 100 Watt LED chips, but figuring out a cheap way to make a driver circuit is eluding me for the required voltages (i.e. 48V downed to LED driving voltage).

On other notes I was at an airshow this weekend and will be putting up a bunch of videos of planes doing plane things. Have an EPIC shot of the B-17 Flying Fortress that just about gives me the warm fuzzies.

###EDIT###: You will need to set your Voltage Booster/ LED-Driver to 33,3V and 3Amps for common 100W LEDīs. But to be sure, look at the datasheet of the Exact model you are Buying to get the proper values.

This video has lots of information about it. If you are an machinist and have Some Spare Aluminium Blocks laying around you could build your mount for the Lamp and heatsink easily yourself. If you use an Aluminium Block big enough and mill some fine Heatsinks out of it to increase surface, you could maybe even use it without an Fan. Then the only thing you need is 100W LED-Chips, a driver Circut (https://www.ebay.com/itm/171907240597  <---- This would work and is recommended in the Video above, but i use an stronger Voltage Booster with my 100W LEDīs, just search on ebay or amazon for it, you will find plenty of options, will mostly take a while to ship, since that stuff comes directly from China), and a Strong Power source (Your Batteries could work well enough).
Just make sure to limit your current to the proper value. LEDīs are not very sensitive about Voltage, but you could easily destroy them or shorten their Livespan massively by too much current.
Use one of those Drivers / Voltage Boosters per 100W LED and cool the Boosters Well, and you should be fine. If you want to, you could even add an potentiometer to control brightness. But for Highspeed-Video, i see no reason, why you would want your Lights not to blast full power all the time.But brightness control Could be usefull for other stuff.

Just guessing from all the Heatwaves and Intense Camera Shake goning on there, that should have been a quite Long lens! I think 300mm or more. Nice Tracking of that plane! Nice Shot.
##EDIT##: or is that just pixels jumping around from the interpolation and not heat waves?

I am still incredibly new to cameras and optics, could you explain what you mean?

@ BiduleOhm: I was more thinking about an actual 300mm Lens, Somewhat surprised then :)
@ RoboChair: So the Cronos has an quite small sensor compared to Cameras like todays DSLR And DSLM Cameras. 35mm FullFrame is something like an standard for focal Lenght and  most people will convert their actual focal lenght in this case 75mm for the Chronos 12-75 Zoom @75mm into a Focal Lenght, which would give them the same Field of view on an 35mm FullFrame Camera Sensor.
Since the Chronos Sensor is 3,9 Times Smaller in Diagonal than the "Standard" 35mm Sensor size (Which is also well known from early Film SLRs) it will only record an part of the Same image, compared to an FullFrame-Sensor (further just called FF because Lazyness), if you where to record the same image with both cameras. Thats why it is called "Crop" or Crop-Factor. You could get the same image by using digital Crop on the bigger Sensor camera.

So, your lenses will apear to be way more "zoomed in" on the chronos, compared to if you would use the same Focal lenght. You will get the same framing (Field of View) using an 292mm (roughly 300mm) on an FF-Camera or an 75mm on the chronos.

To be honest, this could get confusing quickly for someone new to all this. And i am not realy the best at explaining it, hope you got something out of it. otherwise, or if you need more info, look it up on Wiki:

In a short: Your Lens will always be an 75mm for example, no matter which camera you use it on, but it can be for example an Long tele-Lens on the Chronos, a short Portrait Lens on an 35mm FF-Camera or even an Wide-Angle Lens if you use it on an Large format-Camera.
