Light sensitivity comparison between 1.4 and 2.1?
« on: April 16, 2019, 10:17:27 PM »
Have any shots been done on both the 1.4 and 2.1 in similar/identical lighting to show how much increased light sensitivity the new sensor will yield?   I do quite a bit of outdoor shooting where ambient light is the best I can manage in many situations.   Eager to see how the 2.1 improves in this area!

The 2.1 is  10Ám sized pixels while the 1.4 is 6.6Ám or 34% larger on the 2.1 which is really great. Now the sensor is more advanced which means better noise control which shows in the demo footage and that was not even shot at the final camera specs but in a 4k sensor with 5.0um pixels which are smaller than the Chronos 1.4 6.6um.  So expect a serious low light performance upgrade in the final 2.1. 😉
