Hi

this is my test of camera light lens and follow focus. First 3 videos are with old firmware and the
rest with new firmware.

https://youtu.be/d1vUHJRen2I

Wow! Okay you take the crown as the best footage I've seen yet. How much lighting did you use for these shots?

I used  2x Apture 300d 1x Helios 200 1x helios 100 2x Apture LS 1 c,window overcast day.
After all the tests I decided that I needed at least another 2-3 times more light
Yeah, i guessed you would have tons of lights for shots like that. And you seem to know how to use them well!Allready amazing lighting, but for highspeed you almost cant have enough light ever....

This is probably the nicest looking chronos footage I've seen and the focus tracking is amazing. Nice work!

Hi,
Now new version of software is available but I get some issue for saving the video

https://youtu.be/qglWFtWW3yo

What's the issue you are having with the new version of the software?

Thanks for posting!
I am kind of surprised, that this burns for so long.
Most Modern Flash-Tubes will give way shorter Pulses of light. Also very nice footage!

You are talking about the SD card in the top slot, correct? The card in the bottom slot cannot be used for saving.
Could you create a new topic if you are still having problems? I would like to keep the thread on topic.

I've been playing with my Chronos 2.1 for about a month now, and I've captured a few nifty videos. My favorite is probably the gallium. YouTube's video encoding has caused some damage to them (probably partly because my lighting wasn't always the best), but here are a few of the better ones:

Liquid gallium @ 5406 FPS:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-1o8ISaN4U

Marble vs. water @ 5406 FPS:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0_ZwUrLOFI

Birds taking off @ 2531 FPS:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_4yGIhesFo

DLP projector @ 10488 and 24046 FPS:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oIxPUtv55o

Balloon explosion @ 5406 FPS:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nKo0CugfWQ

There's other stuff on my channel as well, if you want to poke around (any videos posted before before March 1st, 2020 have nothing to do with the Chronos 2.1).

Ok, you win the Price for the strangest and most creative bit of Chronos Footage i have seen so far. To be Honest, i dont even really know what i am looking at in this Clip....? are the shoes Falling down? My best guess would be they are, and its lit by some Light source which rotates crazy fast on some kind of rig above? or some kind of flash array? And Playback seems to be very slow (like 1 or 2 fps Playback speed?). Would be highly interrested how this one was shot (BTS-Shots welcome, or just some Info on the Setup). Anyways, thanks for uploading!

The shoes are from my 3 year old son and you are right, its a flash array. Every single frame of the Chronos got its own flash. Running at 2142 fps the shoes fall down a very little, but nevertheless there has to be some Photoshop post. I suppose when running at 8000 fps or so the post isn't needed anymore. So I am awaiting the Chronos 5.5. The whole clip is made from just 12 frames.

So how did you sync the Flash with the Frames?

I use a microcontroller to generate the ttl-signals to trigger both the camera on IO3 and the flashes one by one. It can trigger up to 48 flashes at a speed up to 12000 fps. I hope to do some tests with people soon.

I've got a couple more, this time with much better lighting. Both of them deal with water (the water balloon one is my favorite.)
