Suggestion: Reverse direction of buffer bar
« on: June 01, 2017, 06:12:31 AM »
Hello there.

After some testing, I'am feeling a but unnatural to have the buffer bar "up" as past (play panel).

May I suggest you offer a scrolling bar with top = past = beginning of buffer and bottom = futur = end of buffer so that direction of time is  from top to bottom. Please note that left/right play button are correct and jog wheel is also correct.

Thanks.

As most resolutions reduce the height over the width... maybe it should be at the bottom and go from left to right?

I second the unnatural feel of the scroll bar.  I too would ideally like to see a left-right timeline.  This would allow better "resolution" of scroll bar distance to time making it slightly easier to find an event.

A third for left-to-right. Plus it's easier to keep your fingers out of the way if it's along the bottom.

One more vote for left-right or to reverse the current one.

I thought there was a bug when my in/out points always were reset to the same value, but I just had misunderstood the direction of scrolling.

For a westerner used to left-right, top-bottom temporal direction it was non-intuitive.

Add me as a plus 1.
I was just using the camera again tonight, and it is a bit counterintuitive.
