Newbie question on BNC Trigger to end recording

HI all….

I have a BNC to remote relay that will trigger from a short distance away.

At 500FPS I think I get something like 10s of recording time.

Do I understand it correctly, that if I set up, Manually trigger from the red button, that it records in a loop until I press the BNC button to end the loop?

Recording car crash tests, so I want to be some distance back at the end of the event.

Thanks!

Hello!

Yes, you can configure a Chronos to record in ring buffer until the BNC Trigger cable is used to manually signal Record End.

For recording a car crash, some other things you might want to look into:
  • 3rd party accessories could automatically trigger Record End at the point of impact
  • A computer or mobile device can be used to remote control your Chronos
  • Trigger Delay settings could be handy for consistent pre/post trigger recording durations

Can you offer any assistance as to what specific settings I need to change to put it in “ring buffer” mode? I sort of assumed from what I read that this was default. Push record and it keeps overwriting til record pressed again.

Thanks for the other suggestions!
