Chronos User Discussion / Re: Type of RAM

Is there someone with the 16 GB Modell, who could verify if the Memory Configuration is 1x 16 GB or 2x 8GB RAM?

ok, never thought about that, but it would be possible that there is 2x 8GB.
Also, if you get your Chronos whith 16 GB already built in, you would only have to buy 1 Stick of 16 GB Ram for Maximum Configuration (32 GB).
Are you sure about that? I'd expect the 16GB models to have two 8GB sticks installed.
I have 2 questions in regards to the RAM upgrade:Also, if you get your Chronos whith 16 GB already built in, you would only have to buy 1 Stick of 16 GB Ram for Maximum Configuration (32 GB).
1- Can someone please confirm that upgrading to 32Gig means buying 2 x 16Gig Ram ?
...
Thanks for confirming that 2 slots are available.I would guess, that only refers to the newest Firmware, not any special Firmware.
And by the way, do you perhaps know what Ian (in this thread) meant when he said in regards to upgrading to 32Gig: "Don't forget to go to the appropriate firmware that supports your configuration." ?
Is there a special firmware to download when you install those 32Gig RAM or is it only an option you have to choose in the standard firmware?
regards,
Good to hear this is still up.I talked with David via Mail about a HDR-Mode for the Chronos, and he said that there Was one in Developement currently.
Do you know, how far developement has come upon that topic?
Is that HDR-Mode planed to be Released with the next beta or do we have to wait a bit longer for that?
We've still got plans for HDR-Mode, but unfortunately not much more than that at the moment. We are focusing on getting beta 0.3 out the door. An HDR-mode is something us at Krontech would really like to see too.
I cant realy say how difficult it would be, cause i dont had one in my hands yet, but i would still consider ist as fairly easy from what i have seen. While it certainly wasn't hard, easy is not the correct word for changing the RAMIs the RAM user expandable? Does opening up the camera void the warranty?Should be User Upgradable from what i have heard in other threads here in the Forum (I dont have a Chronos yet).
Should also be quite easy.
But i realy dont konw about the Warranty.
Someone else here should know.
has someone already done a teardown on YouTube or somewhere? There you should be able to see how hard it is. If no one has done a video like this and if there's enough demand I'd be willing to do one myself.
For anyone looking to just do time-warping I found a brilliant open-source project that does only that: slowmoVideo.for Time-Warping i could also Recommend "Twixtor", a Plugin for After Effects.
The same functionality exists in Adobe After Effects as the "Timewarp" effect.

I'm writing the user manual now. I don't know how long it'll take, since I'm working off the old one atm. After that, we'll need to do some testing to make sure nothing's broken. Then we'll release the next beta.I talked with David via Mail about a HDR-Mode for the Chronos, and he said that there Was one in Developement currently.
While I imagine the release will come fairly quickly, on the order of weeks as opposed to months, I don't actually know. The last release was before I started with Krontech, so I don't have a good idea what we actually need to do here.
I have some VERY minor "flicker" with my 100W LED modules. Not enough to be unusable, but still there. I would advise buying one module and testing before buying a bunch.Yes, i could also just reccomend that.
