Looks really great and sharp. Though it almost looks like it was shot in 500fps and slowed down to look like 1,000, is that because of the motion blur?

I'm still a lens noob but is that motion blur effect caused by the F4 aperture or the 357 degree shutter?

I got the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 installed to the camera and it works really well. I think I am going to get some video out at latest on Sunday with the new camera.

The adapter ring with aperture control works really well. The lens is also really nice to use, focus is really smooth and even if the focus plane is quite shallow the focus peeking on the camera makes it easy to focus. I think I am going to probably get the SIGMA 50-100MM F/1.8 for second lens so I can use two cameras at the same time and having longer lens is handy for really stupid stuff  ;D

Good to know it works well! Thanks for update

Hey I'm awaiting my Chronos 2.1 and I've already seen a few posts showing clips using the camera!

I think it would be cool to make this the place to post clips so we have a main thread instead of them being scattered around.

Here are some from other users I saw to start the ball rolling:
Photopage: (Flying Moth 1,000fps 1080p) https://youtu.be/ytQchDACNkE
Preftech: (Water tap 1,000fps 1080p) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0FSl5ORMEM

Look forward to seeing more! :)

here's a new clip 1k fps at 1920x1080: https://youtu.be/T0FSl5ORMEM

and here's one at 5k fps at 640x480: https://youtu.be/8xpxutVUQTg

i don't think the 2.1 can do any faster than 5k.  i believe the 1.4 can do 20k at a low resolution.  it's kind of a bummer that the 2.1 can't do that.  i'm assuming that's a software limitation.

How much lighting did you use? I assume this is just natural indoor lighting

It's not possible to download 1920x1080 on youtube when its uploaded in 60fps. The only way to do this is by directly going through youtubes API to pull the video (can get you banned if done too much). For some reason 1920x1080 60fps is like on a separate server or something. If he uploaded in 30fps you would be able to.

This makes me a bit nervous reading this. Hopefully its easily fixable or just that you are new to the camera. My order is coming in less than 2 weeks. I will report how mine goes. I do know that in the past the Krontech team are extremely helpful with issues, so you should feel safe knowing that.

I'm surprised we still haven't seen any 2.1 footage on youtube / twitter or on the website. I'm sure they are just super busy putting these together but it does make me worry a little at times, its a huge purchase for me.

I feel like this needs to be a sticky haha. Thanks Nikon!

I feel the same, I'm so excited to hear/see more about Chronos 2.1, I check literally every day. Hope to see something early in the new year :)

Chronos User Discussion / Re: Let's talk LENSES!
« on: December 25, 2019, 12:05:42 AM »
The 1.4 has an Smaller Sensor than the 2.1.
For Compatible Manual Lenses, especialy C-Mount just search the web like i just said about the 2.1 but look for Lenses For the BMPCC from Blackmagic (BlackMagicPocketCinemaCamera), digital Bolex and Nikon1-Cameras.
If you find Information somewhere that the Lens, you are Looking for will fit/ Cover those Cameras, it will sure Fit on the 1.4
.
Hope that helps a bit with all the Confusion about Lenses with the new 2.1

Hey Nikon I sent you a DM, hope you don't mind.

Hey I just pre-ordered a Chronos 2.1 but no lenses yet. I'm having trouble deciding on what I need because I'm unsure of compatibility.
I think I want the 'Computar 12.5-75mm f/1.2 zoom lens' because it seems really popular for the 1.4 but is it compatible with the 2.1 image sensor?

Also I had never heard of that brand before so I was wondering if there's a more premium lens out there that may perform better?

Curious to know what other 2.1 buyers are going to use.

Any help would be much appreciated.
