Software Dev / Web Page Wish list
« Last post by JeffNickel on Today at 03:24:51 PM »
I use my three Chronos cameras remotely for under water diving tests and have the following issues with the Web Page control of my units.  I usually set the video duration, frame rate, trigger mode and I/O config before lowering the cameras into place.  The relative position of the cameras are linked by lowering a frame of targets visible to all cameras and grabbing frames from each camera.

The problem I have stems from if a "glitch" in one of the cameras causes the video length to reset from the 10 seconds setting to some arbitrary length.

Issue 1: The Web Page does not give me access to the video length menu so I cannot rectify the problem without pulling the camera out of the water, opening the waterproof case and accessing the screen.  Then reverse and re-calibrating.

Issue 2: The Web Page settings menu does not reflect the current state of the camera.  Whenever I access this menu all the settings are in the same default state regardless of the settings in the camera. This makes it impossible to trust the results when changing the settings after a "glitch".

Any progress on these two issues would be very helpful in my work flow.  Our testing employs 7 to 12 people and delays and repeat testing is frustrating for me and the test subjects.

Thank you. Jeff

They can name the camera the "Chronos 2.5" based on the GSPRINT4502  data throughput.

I see. Sorry about your experience with Krontech. They've been pretty responsive and helpful to me. Enjoy the Freefly! It looks like to be a great camera and thanks for the sample! I would really like to test out their Chronos Q12.

I'm hoping Krontech can make a 2/3 sensor 2K 3000 fps camera that is around $6000. I feel like $15,000 is still a lot of money for the average joe. $6000 would be perfect for a smaller 2/3 sensor I think. I still think there is a market for a 2/3 sensor instead of the 4/3 or APS-C sensor. Greater depth of field is something I would want and there are a few sharp 0.95 lenses (Laowa, Meike, ie) in case you wanted to get more shallow DOF with a smaller sensor. Would not mind if they had to cut corners with record time and RAM (two - three seconds is perfect for me) for it to be cheaper at $6000. Gigapixel does indeed have a 2K 3000ish fps 2/3 sensor so hope they use it.

Honestly, I didn't like my experience with Chronos (it's the company, the camera Chronos 2.1 itself is not bad). I have repeatedly offered cooperation, we had a conversation about getting a new Chronos 4k12 for 2 weeks on a creative cool project, but in the end Chronos fell silent. I personally worked with Freefly Ember s5k - I'm leaving for Freefly, already in the purchase process. I was sure that our team deserved to test the new Chronos 4k12. I was sure that Chronos would actively develop its instagram and post what I give them. I thought the new camera would be in a normal form factor.

Yes. The Chronos 2.1-HD is a good choice for your needs, especially when you need a device that can provide high quality images and is easy to use for analyzing complex dynamic events.

Chronos User Discussion / Re: Chronos 1.4 8GB Color for sale in Switzerland
« Last post by tamigomez on April 23, 2024, 01:08:24 PM »
Hello everyone!

I've had a lot of fun with my Chronos 1.4 over the past few years, but unfortunately I've been finding less and less time to use it lately. I would therefore like to find a new home for the camera.

The camera with the serial number 00066 is from the very early days of Kron Technologies and still works perfectly.

I am from Switzerland and would especially like to address the small Swiss community here. If you are Swiss, I am sure that you have already heard of the Ricardo auction platform, so here is the link (more pictures and a detailed description can be found there):

https://www.ricardo.ch/de/a/chronos-14-high-speed-camera-8-gb-ram-color-(gebraucht)-1252744000/ undertale yellow

Feel free to send me a direct message or write in here if you have questions, I will drop by from time to time.

Best wishes,
Patrick
Sound amazing. Is it still available now?

Chronos User Discussion / Re: Is it possible to increase the camera resolution
« Last post by tamigomez on April 23, 2024, 01:05:42 PM »
As I know, The Chronos 1.2 camera has a 1.4-megapixel sensor with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels. The pixel size is not specifically mentioned in the available information.
The Chronos 2.1 camera has a 2.1-megapixel sensor with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels. Again, the pixel size is not explicitly specified.
