Title: Strange Behavior - Camera not capturing correctly.
Post by: mshetzer on April 05, 2021, 12:35:29 PM
So I was packing up today to take the 2.1 to Costa Rica for 24 days and when I was testing my lighting setup, the camera starting behaving strangely with the following output.

Notice all the short vertical lines.

I have also recorded this short video of the output I'm getting.

I have completed a black calibration and Column Gain Calibration trying to resolve the issue with no change.  I haven't changed any settings since last shooting.

I've sent this to support for some help, however they are closed for Easter week, and I'm really under the gun.

If anyone has any ideas to resolve this, I would love to hear them.
Thank you,
Matt Shetzer

Just a shot in the dark... but I noticed if I'm triggering my camera (shutter gating) and the source of the trigger is disconnected, I get odd patterns of lines on my display not entirely unlike what you are seeing... because the camera doesn't know when to take a frame... just wondering if you were triggering your camera as part of your setup?  Sorry, I don't have anything more insightful to offer.

This looks very similar to an error I encountered once with the 1.4. In my case, the RAM was broken, and Krontech offered to replace it under warranty. You should contact them directly via email (and not using the forums as the take quite a long time to respond here).
