Title: Starting the camera from remote
Post by: jbehler on March 11, 2022, 03:55:05 AM
I would like to start the camera from remote. Is there a similiar option like wake-on-lan to do this? Or is there an option to put the camera to sleep?

Best regards
Jörg

As of now, an option to do what you want would be to use the Auto Power Mode of the Camera (described on page 91/92 of the Manual https://www.krontech.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/RE-PDEV-10009-Chronos-User-Manual-Full-Software-Version-0.7.0.pdf ) in combination with something that can Power on and off a Mains Outlet like a Switched Socket, to which you would connect your Chronos AC Power Adapter.
Here is an Example for a German Plug version of a Ethernet Switched Socket, which would allow you to control it via Wired Ethernet Connection or Wireless Connection. Obviously you would need to find something that would fit whatever Type of Plug/ Outlet is in use where you live (or rather where the Camera is being used).

 .
Other than that, i think there is currently no wake-on-lan option Present in the Camera Software.
