I use the 7Artisans f/0.95 35mm MFT lens. I usually film at f/0.95 or f/1.2.

Hi, if anyone is interested - Smallrig is currently producing a custom camera cage for the Chronos via Dreamrig....

That was posted a year ago. Sadly I have not heard back from them since then.

Not sure if you will see this since you haven't updated this in a month. I have filmed a lot of projectiles out of firearms. You need a lot of light like Nikon 1 said. You also need to adjust your slider (shutter angle) otherwise your projectile will be a blur. I tend to use a 10:1 ratio for muzzle velocity. If an object is moving 92 m/s that is close to 300 feet per second. I will film that at 3k frames per second then or higher.

Here is a video of a bullet moving around 800 fps. But I filmed it at 11k frames per second and 32k frames per second. I had to use a bright studio light shining directly on the muzzle to get some semblance of an image at 32 fps.

Helped Rifle Dynamics study some of their guns with my Chronos 1.4. The STG44 was particular interesting. They have two and one of them has a lot of malfunctions. Here is the video I posted on Instagram.

I use an Immanent DX80 32,000 Lumen LED flashlight for portable lighting. I tested it at my friend's work, Illumn.com, and it does not flicker.

I've also still got one Chronos 1.4 for sale

Hello John. I just tried to buy your Chronos on ebay but there are no options for shipping to the US. I am very interested. Fantastic price and has 4x the recording capability than my 1.4. I am very interested. Thank you.

How are you timing the filming with the lightning strike? Especially since lightning is not predictable in its location? Are you recording constantly and hoping the buffer caught the strike?

More firearm high speed. This is an Altor Pistol. It shoot 9mm and .380 with a different barrel. Due to its design the cartridge is held on the face of the bolt. And the firing pin can strike the primer causing the unsupported case to explode and rupture.

I don't remember seeing Schlieren footage made with Chronos cameras, so here's mine:
It's quite hard to get everything working, the easiest part, oddly, was the camera and editing... Still tons to improve, but I'm happy with the results so far. Any ideas on what to shot with this effect? I do have a air gun, will try that one day.

Iíve been using Schlieren to study firearms. Here is an article I did. Images captured with my Chronos.
