Chronos User Discussion / Re: Autosave feature
« on: April 02, 2019, 03:34:33 PM »
Hey Trey Blue,

Yes the camera has both an autosave feature and an autorecord feature. If both these are active, after a trigger the video will automatically save to non volatile memory and after saving will start recording again.

I currently connect my camera to a monitor through hdmi, when the camera is saving the monitor just goes blank(but the camera screen indicates it is saving). After the saving is complete, the monitor goes back to the live feed display so you know the camera is primed for another trigger.

I think to get all this functionality you have to update the camera to the lastest version, which was very easy and can be found somewhere in the forums.

Hope this helps!

For other peoples' information, I bought both fotodiox($45) and vello($22) lens mount adapter for nikon F lens to C mount. Fotodiox has a little better build quality overall, with some additional type of dial I would assume for changing lens zoom (which does nothing on microscope).

Both worked well if you need to connect your camera to some type of F mount!

I am new to camera mounts and am a bit confused whether my setup would work.

I am using olympus BX51 microscope that currently has f (male?) mount setup from previous camera (phantom, if that helps clear up male vs female).

Would it work to use F to C adapter to connect chronos? Here is adapter I am looking at:
https://www.amazon.com/Fotodiox-Adapter-C-Mount-Aperture-Control/dp/B00T0QVLL2/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_421_bs_tr_img_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=VD0N98WSX4P6P4H98QFX

Or is it worth is to spend the extra $150 and get the official C-mount from olympus?

Thanks!
