Yes. I usually close it down to reduce the zebra.

I find it helpful to look up the size of my videos/images.  Then I look at the resolution chart. 800x600 sized image means I filmed it at 2873 FPS. Assuming you did not enter a custom frame rate.

Went to Monterey Bay and saw some birds flying by over the ocean. So I used my 600mm lens, a red dot and the Chronos. All handheld so it’s not the greatest of framing but I had fun trying to film these birds. Also it didn’t help that I forgot to put my SD card back in the previous night so I had to resort to an emergency 4gb card I had in my camera back pack. Better than nothing.

@nikon1 and @bhv thank you. I did not know this. Something new to try.

@BHV how are you filming at 700fps? I thought the 1.4 can only film as low as 1057 FPS?

Captured a malfunction. Hammer releases early and bolt closes on the hammer. Due to the direction of the back stop, the sun is behind the gun. So I used my Imalent DX80 32,000 lumen light to light up the side of the gun. Used the 1.4LUT by Mklinger. Tweaked the curves a bit since this is in shade with artificial lighting.

Just watched this video by Destin of smarter everyday. Basically slow motion audio is like a form of foley.

Does the camera record audio?

Only when you record the live view at 60fps. But the onboard microphone is pretty lousy.

Your footage looks good!  I'm glad you were able to use the LUT I created.  The 1.4 LUT was created from another user's data as I only own a Chronos 2.1.  That one is certainly not as refined as the one I created for the 2.1, but it looks like it's working great for you.  Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for creating this LUT.

Henrique said it does not work that well in cloudy skies. I’m not sure how to tweak a LUT. Also is it possible to create a LUT for the compressed MP4 videos? I only started filming in RAW to try your LUT. I first tried it on some footage I previously recorded but they were not in Raw and the colors were all messed up. LOL

@bhv I’m using Davinci Resolve. Had to watch a couple videos on how to use Davinci. Simply importing the LUT and applying it to a video clip. Then I export and use that new video file in iMovie.

A simple color correction test thanks to mklinger’s custom LUT.

Chronos User Discussion / Re: Black screen after press record

So I think the black screen was due to the live record at 60fps option. I unclicked it and now the Chronos 1.4 records without any hesitation.

Mirror lens. But it could work on a fast lens with shallow DOF.

@Nikon1 I wonder if utilizing a tilt shift adapter would help increase DOF?

Chronos User Discussion / Black screen after press record
« on: April 26, 2022, 03:40:19 PM »
Is there a way to minimize the black screen when I press record? I hit record and the screen goes black on my Chronos 1.4. I wait for the live view to show back up on screen before executing the event I want to capture. When I try to stop recording while the screen is black, I end up not recording anything. It is a little bit annoying.
