Some thermobaric explosion fun with model city https://youtu.be/sv0tGx80yLk?t=515 There is monochrome 1.4 and color 2.1 footage there. Both are nice in their own way.

I also used optical flow on both of clips that are cropped to extra wide aspect ratio with 12fps playback speed. I had to speed up for the flash but otherwise it works really well.

I got finally my new high pressure chamber done and it has windows! I am not sure has anybody else filmed underwater implosions with high speed cameras before but I am pretty hyped up about the project. Here are the first clips that I filmed https://youtu.be/WD7CfnQC5HQ?t=294

I ordered already wider lens so I can fit larger things on the picture. I definitely want to try glass bottles with Chronos next.

I am also planning maybe to build a larger cylinder if these videos get enough views to justify the investment.

 Well done, i think Gavin just redid your video idea, must be some Sort of Achivement
 To be fair, not absolutely sure if he "stole" the idea, but seems pretty possible, or he actually has it from TicToc?

I am not sure but wouldn't be a first or a last time when they get some idea from us  I am still bit disappointed that I didn't get watermelons work with this concept. Would been interesting to see that tried in garage

At the moment you tend to get lines on large dark areas no matter what you do but I hope that it gets fixed on future up dates. But when everything is bright enough you can get really nice image and usability is always better compared to even bit easier Phantoms like Veo640. When we film it takes always at least one hour to get phantoms running while I can easily get all of my 3 Chronos cameras ready in 10 minutes.

This is probably the best clip that I have ever shot with Chronos cameras https://youtu.be/EuiUnfsKLJ8?t=423

It's 1000 fps and so good it's hard to tell apart from Sony A6400 clips that we have on the same video. Lens is 50-100 f1.8 Sigma zoom and I think it wasn't wide open with this one

The sigma 50-100 f1.8 is 1.5kg and it seems to be just fine. Only problem is that the tiny adapter thing before the c -> to Nikon adapter gets really tight to Nikon adapter and you have to use somekind of pliers to get it free  But the 50-100 mm lens has already thread for tripod on the lens it self so it's bit more balanced when mounted from there.

Seems that I missed the focus on last one slightly. The larger sensor and a fast lens that is sharp even wide open make focusing bit more demanding but I think I am going to get used to really making sure that it's spot on. But other than that I think the picture looks really good already. The first shot was really demanding since it was really dark and we were still shooting 1000fps.

I got the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 installed to the camera and it works really well. I think I am going to get some video out at latest on Sunday with the new camera.

The adapter ring with aperture control works really well. The lens is also really nice to use, focus is really smooth and even if the focus plane is quite shallow the focus peeking on the camera makes it easy to focus. I think I am going to probably get the SIGMA 50-100MM F/1.8 for second lens so I can use two cameras at the same time and having longer lens is handy for really stupid stuff

I ended up buying Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 lens and ordering couple of those fancy adapters that allow to control the aperture (one for color camera and one for my upcoming monochrome camera). I think I am going to buy at least one more lens so I can film with both cameras at the same time but I decide that after I have used this lens for a while.

I think I have to get lot more trigger cables since I have now already 3 cameras and it would be nice to trigger them one-by-one on some situations and from far away.

I sent email to that lens store and asked do they have any parts that could do the job of keeping it open. I have way too much things to do so it would be great to just solve this with out starting to design and manufacture parts

But the prime lens set is also pretty good option. Those would be quite fast lenses and the price isn't totally crazy.

I think that could be probably pretty good and since it's just f 2.8 no need for any trickery to keep it open. Does anybody know whats the crop factor with Nikon lenses and the mount that comes with the camera?

There was already some discussion about lenses on other topic but I thought that this subject deserves it's own topic. I have been too busy to think about what lens to get and now the camera just arrived and I don't have anything suitable to film with it Only lens that I have is my dad's old russian 500mm mirror lens that would be probably something like 2000 mm with the crop factor taken into account. I think I have to do at least one video with the combination still

I think I don't want to just use some Nikon glass with always wide open hack so I have to find totally manually controllable lens and it would be probably good to be at least f 2.8

With regular cameras I use quite often prime lenses since there is enough pixels to zoom in on edit when necessary on 4k image but that's not option here so probably have to find zoom lens and it ain't going to cheap with these specs probably If anybody has good recommendations those are welcome.
