This is a test shot using the Chronos 1.4 I have on loan from Aimed Research

https://youtu.be/bkqWz5qU5M4

This is my first actual video using the camera, the Chronos footage starts around 2:27 if you want to skip the rest

Looks cool :)

That's awesome gyppor :) I want some explosives to film!
Also just an update, I got a nice Microscope C-Mount lens today, it gives an INCREDIBLE close view of the world, I am interested in what I can try it out on!

Lauri from HPC/Beyond the Press took what is currently my favorite thing ever shot on Chronos:

https://youtu.be/U8R0txBYayg?t=288

I love how the garbage can changes color for a few hundred microseconds before breaking and reverting to the original color.
I agree, I love that shot! I've got a few lenses coming soon that will give me some more range of motion for stuff to record in interesting ways!
Want to work with ballistics and explosives a bit more now that we can comfortably achieve frame rates that show the characteristics of them in slow motion.

All three of these shots were with a 135mm f2.8 from the 70's. The softness in the first two is from having the aperture wide open and having a lot of glare from behind and beside the subject. The last clip shows off how sharp the Chronos 1.4 can be with the right lenses and lighting. Thanks David!

Already dropped a comment and like, keep it up! Enjoy seeing peoples test footage.

I had one sensor that had a problem like this, but it was quite obvious, I sent that sensor back to Luxima for evaluation and am waiting to hear back. This camera may have a similar problem but not as bad. I'd like to swap your camera out for another one and investigate the issue, especially to figure out a way catch these problems in production.

Sure dude, message me on Facebook.
There are 2 permanent lines, mostly noticeable in lower light, one dark line and one lighter, both about a 3rd from bottom / top.
Also here is a more complete waterballoon video, 2 minutes of it, bless her!

I haven't seen any steady lines like those shown above but occasionally I have seen light/dark bands that will move vertically as the exposure time is adjusted. I'm not sure if they are associated with any particular resolution or frame rate but I'll see if I can reproduce it.

How about some electrical arcs crawling across and through wood:

Nice gifs dude! I want to make one of those but scared I'll shock myself to death. Want someone who knows what they are doing to make me one lol.
Anyway here is a video of what's going on guys - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7jFQWE8b28&feature=youtu.be

In the first part I just lower the aperture to make the lines more visible, there is one permanent dark line, one lighter line, and then the bugged shutter line.
After the text, I am simply moving the shutter to show the moving line bug.
Help? It sort of makes lower resolutions unusable currently.

The Line that shows up at lower resolutions is a current software issue and is high on the debug list. I will update this message when I have more info on the issue.

I am guessing it seems to move up and down when you change the shutter timing as well?

I will test this in a moment, in the mean time here is a Magpie taking off - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WA7eBRMcNa4&feature=youtu.be

At 720p the picture seems fine, but at lower resolutions the lines appear as seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIRFr4rGwM0
They do not display on lighter pixels, but do in shadow / midtones.
I did a black cal multiple times, restarted etc, still there.
Is it a sensor problem, user error or software?

Did you do a black cal?

I did a black cal yeah, it seems to be directly on sensor, as when I move the recording 'Area', around the line moves accordingly, as well as some other spots similar to it.

Played around with water at high speed on a spoon - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbFU8gZ6P9g&feature=youtu.be
Anyone else get this line? Mainly in areas of lower exposure and I think on resolutions under 720p.

I am using a great lens I found cheap a few years back it's a Fujinon 11-110mm f1.6 and can be set to focus further away or close up.
I could get a lot closer than this but was handholding.

Also, please put 'chronos 1.4' or at least 'chronos' in your Youtube descriptions, if you happen to think about it.

I know there must be more videos out there by now, but they're not showing up in search results.

Exact same thing I've been doing every day, not much new even though there are units out now.
I'll add that to the original post :)

Will be interested to see what people come up with for recommendations too.
There are SO many C-Mount lens variants around and I've heard there are a few gems out there for Macro work.
I'm in the market for one too!
