hey guys so i have trouble viewing the screen on the chronos for focus or exposure or flaming due to bright sunlight while shooting sports and action.
we don't have hdmi out yet for using a highbright moniter or viewfinder so i got this Grid 5.0 viewfinder for the screen on the back
i got my for 175$ on reduser brand new but second hand
installed it yesterday and its pretty awesome
the frame needs slight trimming to not hit the jog dial but thats easy with scissors. then it attaches 3m sticky
the loupe attaches to that via magnets
so far stoked way better for viewing outdoors, hightly recomend, easy to take off for touchscreen functions, but more jog dial control would be nice

Software Dev / WB kelvin temp selection feature request
« on: December 21, 2017, 06:13:08 PM »
I would like to set WB by Selecting a kelvin temperature say 5,500kelvin for daylight,
there are alot of times for me where its impractical to get a custom WB with a card, like long telephoto lenses and fisheye lenses.

Chronos User Discussion / Shooting Actionsports with the chronos 1.4
« on: October 16, 2017, 10:51:32 PM »
Hey guys I was just wonder if there was anyone else shooting action sports with the chronos 1.4?
I have shot some surfing and kitesurfing with a coming to ef adapter ( my adapter is terrible, need to get a nice one)
I have mainly been using my canon 300mm 2.8 converterted from fed to ef manual lens with an equipment of something close to 1200~mm
I also tried my 800mm which is a bit too gnarly
I am usin a scactler video 18p
I have been shooting 720p at 1500fps and 800fps to almost double my buffer time
I found that when shooting pro surfing at tressles I would have to prioritize what part of the wave to record because I couldn’t get the whole wave,  I have the 8second larger record time Camera
With 800fps which is probably fast enough for most action sports I was able to get more of the wave and the. Pick some inns and outs and save them
I defiantly want to have another stills camera around my neck or a greedybar with another Camera set up on it so while it’s saving I’m not complety missing everything

Chronos User Discussion / shooting in a waterhousing
« on: October 16, 2017, 12:34:52 PM »
Hey David,
i am having my water housing made and want to get a grasp of what controls i will need
like we talked about before is there a mode we can make that makes it so you can just trigger a recording and then have it automatically save the whole buffered clip,
that way it is slow to save but at least you dont need to mess around will going though the play menu while in the water to save
i assume that i would have the camera all ready powered on, resolution set, black calibration done and white balance set before putting it into the housing.
it would be nice to be able to have the camera off with those setting saved(so you don't waste all your battery while getting ready to get into the water, and then just power up with last framerate, black cal, white balance set
interested to see what we can do
