Hello everyone,

I tried out some new 3d printed projectile designs for my cam 870 CO2 shotgun :)

Got more details on the shotgun? Also what are those larger projectiles? They did not seem to fly very straight.

Hi Solscud,

the shotgun is an APS CAM870 CO2-Shotgun. The fun part is, that everything that fits in the shells, can be shot ;)
The Projectiles are shown in one of my older videos:

PS: I also forgot to put the link of the new video in my post but I see, you've found it anyway :D

Ooh very cool. What lighting setup did you use?

Here are two clips. Filming .308 flying out of a suppressor. The first shot was sub sonic. So around 800 feet per sec. The second one is a full power super sonic .308 over 2k feet per second. I filmed the sub sonic at 8k fps and super sonic at 21k fps. I figure that matches the bullet velocity pretty well to capture something. But not as clear as your 9mm.

I was modifying a night vision mount and was cutting off a piece of steel. The sparks looked cool so I grabbed the Chronos and filmed it. The sparks explode like mini fireworks!

Filmed my friend’s S&W 500. He shot 600gr projectiles and the last one was a 700gr projectile. I briefly caught it tilting as it flies through the air.

I helped my friend diagnose a problem with this Krink. On occasion it would fail to eject. So I used the Chronos and was able to capture the malfunction. The first two clips on the sequence are regular ejection. The third one is a little bit weak and the fourth one is the malfunction. You can see how the brass hits upwards first and that retards a lot of the energy the brass had. So now it bounces off the back edge of the ejection port and back into the gun where the bolt slams it forward.

Comparison between Killer Instinct Fatal X and Swat X1 cross bows. The Swat X1 has an enclosed barrel that limits the archers paradox (oscillation and flex of the bolt/arrow)

Hi everyone! First post here.

My main hobby is building small battlebots. I got a Chronos 1.4 to shoot test footage and match footage, and recently I got some really great stuff that I wanted to share.

Test footage is pretty straightforward to get. I have a steel-lined box with a clear top that I can set up in.

Match footage is much harder. I have to constantly adjust the focus for bots that can traverse up to 10 ft/s. Luckily, our bots did pretty poorly this last tourney (oops), so I had a lot of time to practice.
Here's some of the best shots I captured from Robot Ruckus 2021:

Interesting. Only issue is the lighting. It’s hard to control that. As I’m sure you notice by now you need a ton of light to capture good footage.

Thankfully events tend to be well-lit, albeit with blinking lights. But yeah, the lighting can make it more difficult to keep in focus.

The Norwalk monthly event (http://www.50day.io/) apparently already has high-speed in mind with their lighting setup, so I'm looking forward to competing there.
