Hi, guys!  I just joined here.  Loving my Chronos!!  Just a few quick gun videos here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxv__qSHpH8
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UovVycxBrA0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFHSmVJtE1g

Need better lighting for sure!  Sorry I didn't include all the frame rate specs...was more interested in the phenomena but will strive to include "stats" in the future.

Thanks,
Mark Serbu

Hi Mark,

nice to see you here. Did you hear anything from Royal Nonesuch lately? He is quite inactive on youtube :(

Howdy, thanks!  Yeah, I communicate with him all the time.  He'll be at our booth at the SHOT show, 20645 in the Law Enforcement section.  He got screwed the way a lot of us with gun channels did, with most of our videos that have been up and monetized for years all of a sudden not being "appropriate for all advertisers".  Fortunately I have a good day job; he didn't.

Very cool vid!  I wonder how much longer it'll be before the general public doesn't even know what a typewriter is...or are we already there?  :D

Lets be honest, there is lots of old stuff that is cool to look at, but you are happy you don't have to actually use.

I have been going to the steam thresher reunion in Rollag, MN ever since I was a child. Lots of fantastic machines. Glad we don't have to run our society off them anymore.

Crash testing lego cars. Had some settings wrong and we need a longer runup but it shows promise. (And editing mistakes at the end)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yQ6KYem8z8

The car is pulled along by a kilo wight and spectra fishing line over nearly a meter. Surprisingly realistic results.
Next time we've got a space that will allow 2.8m of runup. So we can go from scale speeds to insane speeds. :)

Electra, what an awesome idea! :D
And the "let's be fair" comment and continue smashing the first one in "4-year-old" mode, was funny, as was the whole video :) Thank you!

Maybe just "half press" each Lego brick? Tight enough to hold and not losing too many bits on the way, but loose enough to have the tendency to deconstruct fantastically..?
I'd recommend heavier pull weights, exact offset impact, maybe with a guiding rail solution and maybe inserting weighted inlets (lead) into the car, to increase mass (maybe only with heavier pull weights)?

Love to see more! :D

All the best
Martin

My daughter (50CalVal) just posted her latest YouTube video, which is sprinkled with some nice Chronos footage.

I have wanted to get a clip that would be along the lines of the one Taofledermaus has on the main page that would be suitable to potentially use as an example of what the camera is capable of on the main page.

I think I might have done so with this one of my Taurus 445, 44 Special.

If someone is better at making GIF files, I can provide the raw video.

Looking at a Phonograph stylus under a microscope lens, and a discussion on the challenges of getting these shots:

Oh nice! If you have the original file, that would be great.
