The Chronos 1.4 serves a REST API, a unicast RTSP video stream, and also some CGI scripts for purposes such as retrieving a jpeg of the current live view or video files saved to mounted storage devices. DaVinci Resolve is a common choice of software for viewing & editing footage from the Chronos. It's free, runs on Linux, Mac, Windows, and there's even an iPad version. Blackmagic makes a lot of professional video equipment for it, and typically includes a license for the commercial version with a hardware purchase. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products

Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, and Sony Vegas Pro are some other popular commercial options.

Kdenlive is another great option- it's free, open source, and runs on Linux, Mac and Windows https://kdenlive.org/en/

Topaz Video AI works well for enhancing Chronos footage, and is especially useful when capturing at higher frame rates which require reduced resolution.
