I am saving up to get a Chronos 2.1 but it will be a while until I will have an extra $8k for the camera and the necessary accessories.  Is there anyone in the Utah, USA area that I could hire for a day to film some stuff in slow motion?

Nothing too scientific or crazy but I want to be able to analyze my 1/6th scale tank APFSDS rounds that are fired from my 1/6th scale tank main cannon via 1,000-3,000 psi pneumatic pressure. I have a test box that I am using that has ½” of polycarbonate on all sides and 1 side with 2x 1/2” polycarbonate sheets (that we would stand behind). I have already verified that the heaviest APFSDS round has barely enough energy to penetrate 0.375” of polycarbonate and that’s only at max pressure that I won’t be testing to (I want to start teh first day testing at 1,000psi as that still plenty exciting) so its fairly safe but if it still worries you we can add another ½” of polycarbonate to the viewing side so we can safely have 1.5” of spaced PC (the thickness of the MythBusters PC blast shield).

Well its a shot in the dark but I thought I would ask...

You could inquire with local businesses or cinematographers who might already own high-speed cameras like the Chronos 2.1 or other high-speed models.

Go to camera groups and ask questions like Twitter, Facebook or something. I'm sure someone will help you.
